Bal Harbour Magazine 20th Anniversary

From renowned brands like Aquazzura and Audemars Piguet to Zegna and Zimmerman, no esteemed global luxury label has been absent from the captivating pages of Bal Harbour magazine over its 20-year publishing history. This represents two decades of style emanating from Bal Harbour Shops, which is renowned as the foremost luxury retail shopping destination in the country.

While the publishing industry grapples with formidable challenges, including the decline and closure of many magazines, Bal Harbour remains on an upward trajectory. In fact, their page count has surged constantly year over year.

Whether the articles have portrayed the world of alligators in the Everglades or aspiring supermodels amidst the allure of Beverly Hills, the magazine has collaborated with a remarkable roster of contributors over these two decades. This includes esteemed artists such as Fanny Singer, Jean-Philippe Delhomme, Ruben Toledo, Konstantin Kakanias, photographers such as Thomas Whiteside, Stewart Shining, Walter Chin, Ruven Afanador, Russell James, Brad Ogbonna, Michel Comte and writers such as Lynn Yaeger, Adam Platt, Mary Alice Stephenson, Will Kahn.

With a global audience of readers, this milestone signifies the appeal of providing compelling content and captivating photography and illustrations. “The emotional connection at the core of Bal Harbour Shops is the driving force behind each issue. We deeply value the opportunity to engage in a meaningful dialogue with our readers through these pages, and it’s truly fulfilling to showcase the work of some of the world’s finest creative talents,” said Creative Director Cheryl Stephenson.

The 20th Anniversary issue will feature fashion highlights from two longtime collaborators, Ruven Afanador and David Roemer, the creative art director Alexandra Zsigmond, Etro’s new creative director Marco de Vincenzo, architect Manuel Cervante, and writer William Norwich.

Bal Harbour Shops has always been a trailblazer and trendsetter, boasting a rich legacy of “firsts.” Celebrating the picturesque beauty of South Florida, it was the inaugural home of luxury retailer Neiman Marcus outside of Texas, and the initial shopping center location chosen by numerous esteemed European brands for their foray outside of New York. Over half a century, it has maintained its industry leadership by seamlessly integrating a web presence with editorial content, and amassing a substantial global social media following.
